Typealyzer: Analyze Your Blog's Writing Style

Check out Typealyzer to have your blog's writing style analyzed and pegged to a specific personality type similar to those used on the Myers Briggs tests.

See if you agree with the results and if so, you can then make a small tweak to the HTML code in your blog template and then add the widget displaying your Typealyzer badge.

Over at Destination: Austin Family I was pegged as a "practical," a "doer" or an "adventurer" which is basically ESTP (Extravert Sensing Thinking Perceiving).

So what does your blog writing style say about you?

Just when I needed a break you came up with the perfect distraction! Yeah!

I'm a feeler.

"The entertaining and friendly type.[I like to entertain and most people think I'm frieldy.] They are especially attuned to pleasure and beauty and like to fill their surroundings with soft fabrics, bright colors and sweet smells. [I'll go along with the soft fabrics but I go more for subdued colors. Smells? I lost my sense of smell a while back. I just hope my house doesn't stink! LOL!] They live in the present moment and don´t like to plan ahead - they are always in risk of exhausting themselves. [I try to live in the present but all too often I'm worried about the future. I do exhaust myself.]

They enjoy work that makes them able to help other people in a concrete and visible way. [That explains my career in social work.] They tend to avoid conflicts and rarely initiate confrontation - qualities that can make it hard for them in management positions. [Avoiding conflict... that's me in a big way!]"

I'd say much of it is right on but some of it is off base. It was an interesting distraction. And now I'm back to work!

I tried it and I am a "Do-er". Probably too much doing, and not enough completing though, darn it.

I'm a performer for whatever it's worth, on both of my blogs.

I find the whole thing interesting, since it says this type would have problems with management jobs, not wanting to hurt someone's feelings. That must have happened after I retired. I was in management and I stepped on plenty of toes.

I'm a feeler too.
But right now I'm feeling overwhelmed by all the stuff that's
accumulated on my Facebook page
while I've been offline for a week,
so I'm going go hide under the
bedcovers and get some sleep!

Well, it pegged me as an ESTP - The Doers. It says that I "might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time." That is right on. I started redecorating our bathroom in 2001. I haven't opened the door since. Good thing we had 2 in the house.

I'm a Performer on all 4 of my blogs! I agree that I don't like confrontation, but I don't see how that could have been picked up by my writing style! Very interesting!
